Your Love, Your Story, Your Way

First of all, congratulations to you both! Now it's time to think about exactly how and where you would like to 'tie the knot'.

Are you planning to have a ceremony that's themed, light-hearted and fun, elegant and romantic or simple and sincere. These days there are so many options.

Many couples choose to take care of the legal paperwork at a registry office beforehand and then hold their dream wedding celebration at a venue of their choice. Whatever you choose, your wedding day will be the most beautiful celebration of your love, commitment, and connection.

I would be honoured to be part of your wedding day. No two relationships are the same, and your ceremony should reflect the very heart of yours. As your celebrant, I’ll take the time to get to know you both — your love story, your personalities, what makes you laugh, what makes you cry, your hopes for the big day and your future. I’ll weave all this together and craft a bespoke ceremony that feels completely authentic to you.

Your Ceremony, Your Choice

As an independent celebrant, I’m not bound by any particular system or format, meaning you have complete freedom to choose how to celebrate your special day. You can include religious readings, spiritual elements, or keep things entirely non-religious. You may want to include a ritual such as handfasting, warming of the rings, or the Quaich for example.

Whatever you decide, the ceremony will reflect your love and your wishes.

On the day, you can relax knowing I'll be there to lead your ceremony with calm confidence and warmth, with a genuine smile, setting the tone for a beautiful celebration that everyone will remember with joy.

The first step is for us to have an initial no-obligation conversation preferably in-person or online, to see if we're right for each other. Hopefully I'll be the celebrant for you, and the next step will be to secure the date with a non-refundable deposit. We'll then arrange a time when I can really get to know your story.

Wedding Rituals

With a celebrant led wedding, you have the freedom to choose interactive elements that add a beautifully personal touch to your ceremony.

Rituals that have become increasingly popular include:

Handfasting - where the couple's hands are joined together with a beautiful and personalized cord or ribbon to symbolize their union. This is where 'tying the knot' comes from.

Warming of the Rings - where the wedding bands are passed among guests for 'warming' with their blessings and good wishes for the couple.

The Sand Unity Ritual - where coloured sands are merged together by the couple or their families, symbolizing their union.

The Oathing Stone - where the couple place their hands on a stone while exchanging vows. This is where 'set in stone' comes from. The stone can be engraved, becoming a treasured keepsake.

A Quaich ceremony - often referred to as the loving cup, where the couple share a drink, symbolizing their trust in one another.

Wedding Celebration

My fee for a wedding starts at £850 which includes the following:

A friendly, relaxed meeting in person to get to know you and your vision for your wedding day.

A completely bespoke ceremony script written especially for you - no templates or generic wording.

Support and guidance in writing your vows, choosing readings, poems and weaving in personal touches.

Communication with anyone else you'd like to involve in the ceremony.

The script is sent to you to check with any edits and guidance until it feels right and you are entirely happy with it.

Attending your venue and conducting the ceremony on the day.

A beautiful Wedding Certificate for you to sign on the day.

A keepsake printed copy of your ceremony to treasure.

Travel for communication and the ceremony.  I cover South London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent up to 30 miles from Caterham in Surrey.

Any personalised items you may decide to have as part of a ritual, such as handfasting ribbons/cords for example, are additional purchases and become beautiful keepsakes for you to treasure.
